MIAMI- French furniture and home décor retailer Maisons du Monde will open its first U.S. store in Miami’s Wynwood art district this December.
The new location will open on Dec. 7, the same day that Maisons du Monde will launch its new U.S. website.
Maisons du Monde, which means "Houses of the World" in English, focuses on eclectic, global looks.
   In store, the Miami location will host the company’s new autumn-winter décor collections alongside furniture, gift and décor pieces from its existing collections. Visitors will be able to purchase items directly, order through Maisons du Monde’s online store or work on new home décor projects in the company’s Décor Workshop.
To celebrate its launches, Maisons du Monde will host a series of events during the Design Miami forum to introduce the brand to its new U.S. audience. The events will include a scavenger hunt and a grand opening party hosted by design personalities Justina Blakeney of “The Jungalow” blog and Dabito of the blog “Old Brand New.”
   Founded nearly 20 years ago, Maisons du Monde works with a “global” aesthetic and has more than 320 locations across seven European countries and employs more than 7,000 people. The company sells thousands of products in its exclusive range of collections that are are based on seven styles and two home accessories curations.
   Maisons de Monde's Miami location will be located at 2450 NW Second Ave.
