TORONTO – Gus Modern, a Canadian home furnishings brand, is unveiling a limited edition collaboration with Pendleton Woolen Mills, an American textile company.
The capsule collection, called Gus Modern x Pendleton Woolen Mills, is the second time the companies have joined forces. It features two upholstered Elk chairs, each done in a Sunbrella fabric using a distinctive Pendleton Woolen Mills pattern.
The latest Gus x Pendleton Woolen Mills collaboration brings two new chairs to the company's portfolio.
“These fabrics have elevated the aesthetic of our Elk chairs in a fresh, modern way,” said David Podsiadlo, lead designer and co-founder of Gus Modern. “Whether these chairs are destined for a lakeside cabin or downtown loft, these designs celebrate the perfect union of textiles and furniture.”
One chair, done in a light, natural ash wood is upholstered in a bright, white and brown design called Canyonlands Desert, while the other is a dark, black ash wood chair upholstered in a darker pattern called Diamond River Tonal Charcoal. Both chairs feature powder-coated steel legs and bent-ply seat and back panels.
The collection will be on display at October High Point Market in Gus Modern’s showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center, H-512. The full collection will also be available at select Gus Modern retailers and online at Pendleton Woolen Mills’ website.
